For this 21st year of the Stagecoach Run Art Festival on July 2 & 3, 2016, many artists will open their homes, studios, and galleries to the public along the route of Old Stagecoach Turnpike, now County Route 14. The old Turnpike ran from Unadilla on the Susquehanna River to Catskill on the Hudson. Most studios are within walking distance of Treadwell Center.
This year the Festival will be honoring two, local gifted artists—Jane Carr and Joe Kurhacek. Jane and Joe are the “founders” of the Festival, and you can read about how Stagecoach came about on Jane’s page by clicking here.
Four years ago the Festival opened a new venue in which to view a large collection of art at The Fishers’ Barn. At the Route 14 intersection of Warren Road and Warner Hill Road, visitors will find over a dozen artists showing in The Fisher’s Barn (interior seen below).

Outside the village, we have several venues. Studios in the Village of Franklin, including the Franklin Railroad & Community Museum, are only a short drive away. The Tulip & Rose Restaurant will be open for the Festival. The United Methodist Church ladies flipping hamburgers burgers and hot dogs on Case Hill Road, and the Tulip & Rose will be up at Fishers’ Barn. If you’re hungry for pizza, check out our sponsor Wise Guys Pizza, right in downtown Franklin.
During Stagecoach Run 2016, all artists are available and look forward to meeting you and discussing their work. Stagecoach 2016 will be another opportunity to see a large variety of professional work and to come home with a piece of art that you will treasure forever. Please look for the yellow numbered signs, and have a wonderful time.
